1. Who is responsible for your data
TripInTravel S. de R.L. de C.V. (“TripInTravel”), located at Bahía de las Islas 3716, Rincón de la Primavera, 64835 Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data you give us through www.tripintravel.com, blog.tripintravel.com, email, phone or WhatsApp. This notice follows Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). If the Spanish and English versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

2. Personal data we collect
- Identity and contact: name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number.
- Trip details: destination and property of interest, travel dates, number of adults, children and infants, and special requests (chef, groceries, transportation, arrival times).
- User account: username, email address and encrypted password.
- Payment: your card details are captured and processed directly by OpenPay; TripInTravel does not store them. We keep only the receipt and payment status.
- Invoicing (if requested): legal name, RFC tax ID, tax address and tax regime.
- Browsing: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time on site, collected through cookies (see section 8).
Sensitive data. We do not ask for sensitive data. If you choose to share health, allergy or accessibility information to prepare your stay, we will use it only for that purpose, and by sending it you give your express consent.
Minors. We only record how many children are travelling. If a child’s name is needed (for example, for condominium access), the responsible adult must provide it.
3. Why we use your data
Primary purposes (needed to provide the service you request):
- Answer your inquiries and send quotes.
- Manage, confirm and change your bookings, and coordinate your arrival with the property owner or manager.
- Arrange the extra services you request (chef, groceries, transportation).
- Process payments, refunds and deposits, and issue invoices.
- Create and manage your user account.
- Handle claims and complaints, protect the properties and prevent fraud.
- Meet legal and tax obligations and requests from authorities.
Secondary purposes (not needed for the service; you may refuse them):
- Send you offers, news and destination recommendations by email or WhatsApp.
- Ask for your feedback and reviews about your stay.
- Produce statistics to improve our website and services.
To opt out of the secondary purposes, email [email protected] with the subject “Secondary purposes”. You can do this at any time, and it does not affect your booking.
4. Who we share your data with
We share your data only when necessary:

We also use providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions, such as OpenPay (payments), web hosting, email services, Cloudflare and Google Analytics. Some of them operate outside Mexico. We never sell your personal data.
5. Your ARCO rights
You may Access your data, Rectify it if it is inaccurate, Cancel it when you believe it is not needed for any purpose, or Object to its use for specific purposes.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with:
- Your name and how we should send you our answer.
- A copy of your official ID (or your representative’s, with proof of representation).
- A clear description of the data and the right you want to exercise.
- Any document that helps us find your data (for example, your booking number).
We will answer within 20 business days of receiving a complete request and, if it is granted, apply it within the following 15 business days. The process is free; only shipping or copying costs, if any, may apply.
6. Withdrawing your consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time, through the same channel and with the same requirements as in section 5. Withdrawal is not retroactive, and we cannot apply it where the law requires us to keep the data or where it is needed for an ongoing booking.
7. Limiting the use of your data
- Email [email protected] to be added to our internal do-not-contact list for marketing.
- Use the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email.
- Mexican phone numbers can be registered with PROFECO’s Public Registry to Avoid Advertising (REPEP).
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and searches, measure site usage with Google Analytics, and show embedded third-party content (YouTube, Google Maps, Gravatar in blog comments). They collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, browsing time, and date and time of access.
You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as signing in, may then stop working.
9. Retention and security
We keep booking and payment data for 5 years to meet tax obligations, inquiries that do not lead to a booking for 1 year, and account data until you ask us to delete it. We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data against damage, loss, alteration or unauthorized access.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice because of legal changes or changes in our services or privacy practices. The current version will always be posted at www.tripintravel.com/privacy-notice/ with its update date.
11. Authority
If you believe your right to personal data protection has been violated, you may contact Mexico’s Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the authority under the current LFPDPPP.
